If you have a signed MSA with Cascade Asia, these terms supplement (do not replace) the MSA. Where they conflict, the MSA controls. The standard MSA template is published at cascade-msa.html. If you don't have a signed MSA, these terms govern your use of Onsight.
What Onsight is and what it isn't.
Onsight is Cascade Asia’s source-graded intelligence service, currently in private build. It provides:
- Continuous monitoring of corporate entities and individuals across Southeast Asian markets.
- Field intelligence briefs, sourced and graded by Cascade Asia analysts.
- Per-engagement field work (records pulls, UBO traces, site visits, sanctions screening, adverse-media sweeps).
- Audit-grade evidence trails for compliance, ESG, investment, and investigative use.
Onsight is provided to clients through individually scoped engagements, which may include ongoing monitoring and per-project field work. Onsight is currently in private build; access is arranged case by case rather than offered as a self-service subscription. Commercial terms are set out in each client’s order form or engagement agreement.
Onsight is not:
- Legal advice, financial advice, investment advice, or tax advice. Findings are factual research with citations; you must apply your own professional judgment.
- A regulator-issued sanctions list or government-issued certification of any kind.
- A guarantee that any subject is free of risk you didn't ask us to research.
One person per seat. You're responsible for what happens on yours.
- An Onsight seat is for one named person. Sharing credentials between multiple humans is prohibited.
- You must keep your password confidential and enable two-factor authentication where it's available.
- You're responsible for activity that occurs under your seat, including activity by anyone you allowed to use it.
- You must notify us promptly at security@cascadeasia.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We may suspend a seat that shows credential-sharing patterns (concurrent sessions from disjoint geographies, scraping-pattern read volume) pending investigation.
- The customer organization (not the individual seat-holder) owns the account and the data in it. Org-admin seats can deactivate other seats and reassign data ownership within the organization.
Use Onsight for what it's for. Not for what it isn't.
You may use Onsight to:
- Conduct due diligence on third-party entities and individuals as part of your professional work.
- Monitor watched subjects continuously for material change.
- Commission field engagements within scope.
- Export evidence trails for your own audit, regulatory, or legal needs.
You may not:
- Re-sell or redistribute Onsight content outside your organization, except as expressly permitted by the redistribution rights tagged on each finding.
- Use Onsight content to harass, defame, or unlawfully discriminate against any subject.
- Scrape, mass-export, or systematically extract data beyond what your subscription tier permits, or beyond what a reasonable human user would do.
- Reverse-engineer the platform, attempt to bypass authentication, or test security boundaries except under our responsible disclosure program.
- Use Onsight to violate applicable law, including sanctions, export controls, anti-discrimination law, or data-protection law.
- Submit false demo requests, false support tickets, or other content intended to disrupt the service.
We reserve the right to suspend access for material violations, with notice where practicable. Repeated or severe violations may result in termination per the Term & termination section.
What we own, what you own, and what comes with the briefs.
Cascade Asia owns the platform
The Onsight platform — software, designs, methodology, brand — is the intellectual property of Cascade Asia. Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the platform during the term of your subscription. No rights are granted beyond what's expressly stated.
You own your inputs
Watch lists, scoping notes, internal annotations, and any other data you load into the platform remain yours. We act as data processor with respect to that content (see Privacy → Subject data).
Cascade Asia owns the published intelligence
Field briefs, findings, methodology rationale, and the corroboration graph are Cascade Asia intellectual property. Subscribers receive a license to use them inside their organization for the purpose for which they were commissioned. Per-finding redistribution rights are tagged on each piece of evidence (some findings are public-quotable; some are subscriber-only; some are named-recipient-only). Your license respects those tags.
Public-graded evidence
Evidence we explicitly mark as public — published abstract briefs, the precedence ledger, public reputation surfaces — is freely citable for journalism, academic research, and other public-interest use, with attribution to "Cascade Asia · Onsight" and a link to the cited source where practical.
Feedback
If you give us feedback, feature requests, or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you, including in future versions of the service. Feedback is not confidential unless you explicitly mark it so and we explicitly agree.
Yours. We're the processor, with the responsibilities that implies.
Customer data — the personal data you load into Onsight about subjects, plus your own seat data — is governed by our Privacy Policy and (for enterprise customers) the executed Data Processing Agreement.
Specific commitments:
- Data residency: customer data is stored in Singapore (AWS ap-southeast-1) and does not leave that region under our control. Sub-processors with US/EU operations are listed on the Security page.
- Encryption: in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256 at the storage layer).
- Access: Cascade Asia personnel access customer data only for support, debugging, or legal-compliance purposes, with the action audit-logged.
- Deletion: on subscription termination, customer-loaded data is deleted within 90 days, subject to compliance-retention exceptions documented in the Privacy Policy.
- Breach notification: within 72 hours of confirmed incident affecting customer data; 24 hours for confirmed breach involving unauthorized access.
Subscriptions, engagements, late payment, and refunds.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are billed in advance: monthly or annually, as selected at signup. Annual subscriptions paid up-front are non-refundable; monthly subscriptions cancel at end of the current period. Renewal happens automatically at the same tier unless you change or cancel before the renewal date.
Engagements
Per-project engagements are quoted at scope-confirmation, billed at engagement start (or as scheduled in the contract), and delivered on the timeline quoted. Failure to deliver within the quoted window is grounds for a prorated refund or extension at the customer's choice.
Taxes
Prices on the website are exclusive of taxes. Where Cascade Asia is required by Singapore or destination-country law to collect taxes (e.g. GST / VAT), they are added at invoicing.
Late payment
Invoices are due within 30 days of issue unless otherwise specified in your contract. Past-due invoices may incur access restrictions (read-only mode after 7 days past due; suspension after 30 days) and a late-payment fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum permitted by law, whichever is lower.
Refund policy
Trial accounts: no charge, no refund (it's free). Monthly subscriptions: non-refundable for current period; cancel any time effective end-of-period. Annual subscriptions: non-refundable except at our discretion in cases of extended service unavailability (>30 days). Engagement work: refundable in full if not delivered; partially refundable if delivered late by more than 50% of quoted time.
How long this agreement runs and when it ends.
Term
This agreement starts when you first use Onsight (creating an account, accepting an invitation, or otherwise) and continues until terminated.
Termination by you
You may terminate by cancelling your subscription in Account → Billing or by emailing accounts@cascadeasia.com. The cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to your data for 90 days post-termination for export.
Termination by us
We may terminate or suspend your access:
- For non-payment past 60 days, with notice and opportunity to cure.
- For material breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use section, with notice where practicable.
- For activity that creates legal exposure for Cascade Asia or our other customers (sanctions evasion, money laundering, fraud), without notice.
- If we cease offering Onsight, with at least 180 days notice and assistance with data export.
Effect of termination
On termination: your access ends, your data export window is 90 days, then customer-loaded data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Cascade Asia's audit logs and tax records of the subscription itself are retained per the retention schedule. Your obligation to pay outstanding invoices survives termination.
What we promise, and what we don't.
Cascade Asia warrants that:
- The Onsight platform will be made available with commercially reasonable effort, with the security posture described on our Security page.
- Field briefs and findings published by Cascade Asia analysts are produced with the methodology described on our Methodology page, with sources cited and tier-graded.
- We will not knowingly include material falsehood in published findings. Documented errors are corrected via our published-correction process.
We do not warrant that:
- The platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Findings are exhaustive — Onsight surfaces what its sources surface; absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
- Subjects researched are free of risks Onsight did not investigate.
- The platform meets every regulatory framework in every jurisdiction — your compliance obligations are yours.
The cap on damages.
Who covers what when a third party makes a claim.
By Cascade Asia: we will defend you against, and pay damages and costs awarded in, any third-party claim that the Onsight platform infringes the third party's intellectual property rights, provided you notify us promptly and let us control the defense. If the platform is held to infringe, we may at our option modify it, obtain a license, or terminate the affected portion with a prorated refund.
By you: you will defend Cascade Asia against, and pay damages and costs awarded in, any third-party claim arising from (i) your breach of the Acceptable Use section; (ii) your use of the platform in violation of applicable law; (iii) data you loaded into the platform that infringes a third party's rights; or (iv) any subject of an engagement claiming the engagement was conducted unlawfully, where you provided false or incomplete scoping information.
Singapore law. SIAC arbitration for disputes that can't be resolved by talking.
This agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Disputes that cannot be resolved by good-faith negotiation within 60 days will be referred to arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) under the SIAC Rules in force at the time of submission. Seat of arbitration: Singapore. Language: English. The tribunal will consist of a single arbitrator. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information without the requirement of arbitration.
Class actions are waived to the maximum extent permitted by law. Each party may bring claims only in its individual capacity.
How these terms change. And the housekeeping clauses.
Changes
For any material change to these terms — modification of acceptable use, expansion of customer obligations, change to payment terms, or change to liability provisions — we will:
- Email every customer at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
- Post a notice on the customer dashboard for the 30-day window.
- For customers under signed MSAs, the MSA controls — these terms can change without affecting the MSA.
Continuing to use the service after the change takes effect is acceptance. If you don't agree, you can terminate per the Term & termination section before the new terms take effect.
Entire agreement
These terms — together with the Privacy Policy, any executed MSA / DPA, and any order forms — constitute the entire agreement between you and Cascade Asia regarding Onsight. They supersede any prior agreement on the same subject.
Severability
If a provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. The unenforceable provision will be replaced with a valid one that most closely reflects the intent of the original.
Assignment
You may not assign this agreement without our prior written consent. We may assign to a successor in interest in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all our assets.

Notices to Cascade Asia: inquiries@cascadeasia.com (general), accounts@cascadeasia.com (account / billing), security@cascadeasia.com (security). Notices to you: the email on your primary account.
No third-party beneficiaries
This agreement does not create rights for anyone except you and Cascade Asia.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, war, government action, internet outages, pandemics) provided the affected party gives prompt notice and uses reasonable efforts to resume performance.
